Biographie

Nadine Desrochers (MLIS, Western University; PhD, lettres françaises, Université d’Ottawa) est professeure agrégée à l’EBSI. Son expérience en bibliothèque publique (Okanagan Regional Library, Colombie-Britannique) a grandement influencé ses champs d’intérêt, notamment en ce qui a trait à l’aide aux lecteurs, qu’elle enseigne dans une perspective francophone. Sa recherche est interdisciplinaire et porte sur les actes et acteurs culturels ou scientifiques : auteurs et écrivains, bibliothèques et diffusion, ainsi que plateformes portant sur la lecture (Goodreads, notamment).

Expertises

Je m'intéresse entre autres aux comportements informationnels des auteurs littéraires et aux enjeux de la communication savante, que j'étudie notamment par le biais des nouvelles modalités de production textuelle et paratextuelle à l'ère numérique. Mes travaux portent également sur la lecture et sur les liens que font les usagers entre les produits culturels (livres, films, musique, etc.) qu'ils consultent en différents formats et sur différents supports. Mes champs d'enseignement sont la recherche d'information, les services aux usagers (référence et aide aux lecteurs), ainsi que les grands courants et théories en sciences de l'information.
